
Part 46 Training for New miners, Newly Hired Experienced Miners, new tasks, annual refresher and Site Specific Awareness training Sand, Gravel and Crushed Stone Operations: In this program we will discuss Plant start-up, plant clean up, shutdown, operation, conveyor systems, repair work, welding and cutting, lockout/tagout, electrical procedures for non-electricians, haulage, ground control, wire ropes, manual handling of materials, overall crushing operation, drilling equipment and transportation, use and storage of explosives. Additional topics include recognition and avoidance of hazards, emergency medical procedures, evacuation plans, fire warning signals and firefighting procedures, health and safety aspects, Statutory rights of miners and miner representatives, line of authority, company rules for reporting hazards, competent person, respiratory protection, review of first aid methods and hazard communication. |
